Business Development Manager

POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

INDUSTRY: AGRICULTURE/AGRIBUSINESS/LIVESTOCK/POULTRY

Ducorp Zambia Limited is hiring a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to drive growth by identifying opportunities, forming partnerships, and increasing revenue. The ideal candidate should have industry knowledge in agriculture, livestock, and poultry, along with a proven track record in developing and executing business strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Identify new opportunities in agriculture, live stock, and poultry sectors, including potential partnerships and market trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders in the industry.
• Lead negotiations and close high-value deals with a focus on long-term value creation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver tailored solutions to clients.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure Ducorp remains a market leader.
• Prepare and present regular business development reports to senior management.
• Represent Ducorp Zambia at industry events, conferences, and expos to enhance brand visibility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum of 3/5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the agriculture/livestock/poultry sectors.
• Strong understanding of agricultural supply chains, market dynamics, and industry trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
