At BDO Zambia, we have a rapidly growing Tax advisory practice looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our team.

Tax Advisory Senior

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare/review tax advisory assignments.
  • Good understanding of Income Tax, Payroll, VAT, WHT and Customs & Excise and the relevant Acts.
  • Must have a good understanding of international tax principles including double taxation agreements.
  • Must be conversant with the ZRA online portal.
  • Attend to tax account reconciliations for all tax types.
  • Must be able to prepare and attend to Tax Audits.
  • Develop junior staff in the team through on-the job coaching, maintain strong client relationships.
  • Billing and collection of fees.
Qualification

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Law or a relevant qualification.
  • Professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • At least three years practical experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional research, analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax principles and law, tax audits, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals and develop priorities to ensure that work is completed with a high degree of accuracy within the context of completing deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
