The Accounts Assistant provides support to Bata’s Senior Accountant in discharge of duties as defined below.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the Preparation of Accounts & Receiving and Settling Invoices.
- Invoicing and Debt Collection and/or Reconciliation.
- Dealing with Basic Bookkeeping
- Monitoring Financial Transactions as requested by Departmental Supervisors.
- Monitoring Staff and Company Expenses.
- Performing Financial Reports / Payables Reconciliation & Booking Stock Accounts.
- Confirming Bank balances
- Preparing Monthly Reports as instructed by The Head of Department.
- Submission of Statutory Payments.
- Maintaining Spreadsheets, Credit Control & Sales Order Processing
- Managing Daily Post in and out
- Receiving and Processing Invoices, Expense Forms and Requests for Payment
- Verifying transactions and working with the (POSWORX) system
- Money on way reconciliations
Qualifications
1 Full Grade 12 O’Level Certificate
2 Diploma in Accounting / ACCA II / ZICA Licentiate
3 ZICA Membership
Skills/Competencies:
1 Good Communication Skills
2 Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
3 Ability to Meet Deadlines without compromising quality of work
