Purpose of the Role:
This role exists to ensure that all day to day accounting and administrational support functions are performed timeously and accurately in order to support the daily smooth operations of the business. Ensuring that customer and client funds are dispersed timeously and accurately is of highest importance.
There is an expectation to maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure that all checks and balances in place are upheld to the highest standard

Reporting Structure:

  • Reporting To: Accounts Manager
  • Interacts With: Customer Care, Supervisors and Managers

Supervisory Control:
The position is supervised through:

  • Submission of daily, weekly and monthly deliverables
  • Continuous progress reports
  •  Daily due diligence on transaction and exception reports
  • Status of workload achieved
  • Performance appraisal

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Uploading of outgoing payment to banking portals and subsequent disbursement of POP’s by uploading it to the internet system.
  • Daily bank reconciliations and updates of incoming funds to system.
  • Buying of consumables for the company- including price checking, paperwork processing and giving instructions to messengers sent out for collections.
  • Ensuring that the corresponding paperwork is correctly accounted for and submitted and checked timeously with accurate information and all required documentation.
  • Keeping daily Pastel posting up to date and accurate which includes balancing all pastel postings with corresponding checks and balances and updating monthly ad hock postings to pastel.
  • Contribute towards the maintenance and upkeep of HR records.
  • Completing and submitting daily, weekly and monthly reports to superiors as required.
  •  Handing any other department related tasks as instructed by supervisors.
