Accountant

Wideway International(Z) Investment Company Limited is looking for a Skilled and Detail-Oriented Accountant with experience in a diverse and dynamic business environment to manage our financial operations. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, handling regulatory payments and conducting internal audits to maintain financial integrity

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Regulatory Payments: Manage and process all regulatory payments, including NHMA, ZRA, Workers Compensation, NAPSA and other statutory obligations
• In-house Auditing: Conduct regular in-house audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and identify areas for improvement
• Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of budgets to ensure financial efficiency
• Accounts payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments and receipts, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions
• Tax Compliance: Ensure all Tax filings and payments are completed accurately and on time, complying with local regulations
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision making processes
• Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key financial metrics and areas of concern

KEY SKILLS

• Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and regulatory compliance
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial documentation and reporting
• Analytical thinking: Strong analytical skills and with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NHMA, ZRA Workers Compensation, NAPSA and other relevant regulations
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Full grade 12 school certificate with minimum of 5 Credits including English and Mathematics. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, from a recognized institution
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a diverse business environment
• Certifications: Professional accounting certifications(e.g., ACCA, CIMA or ZICA)
