Job Title: Accountant

Job description: The accountant will be overseen by the Finance Manager and will be solely responsible for financial reporting, assessing, monitoring, auditing responsibilities, planning, and managing the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.

Responsibilities:

The activities of the accountant will be divided I two parts, core, and non-core:

Core Activities:

Banking

Cashflow Management

Revenue collections

Managing payables

Managing receivables

Accounts Preparation

Quarterly reviews

Budget reviews

Accounting standards

Statutory requirements

MI preparations

 

Non-core Activities:

Research

Attending to administrative requests

planning

Internal emails and Internal meetings

Training/Learning

Scheduling meetings

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Financial Institution or similar industry

ACCA,CIMA or ZICA qualification

Analytical skills

Minimum supervision

Excellent skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Hands-on experience with accounting software

BSc in Accounting, Banking, and Finance or relevant field
