Kafubu Water and Sanitation Company is a Water Utility Company on the Copper belt Province, providing quality water and sanitation services to its customers in Ndola, Luanshya and Masaiti. In its continued strides to sustain and improve service delivery to its esteemed customers, the Company seeks to employ a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual in the position of:
1. Position : Internal Audit & Risk Officer x 1
Reports to : Manager – Internal Audit and Risk
Location : Head Office
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To carry out the examination and evaluation of the Company’s governance, risk management and internal control processes in order to determine their adequacy and effectiveness and recommend corrective measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Development and review of the Audit Charter and manuals in order to comply with professional standards
Preparation and implementation of an annual audit plan in order to guide the audit assignments.
Examination and evaluation of management controls and governance system in order to ensure their effectiveness and facilitate Board decisions.
Execution of planned performance and specialized audit assignments in order to ensure achievement of intended objectives.
Provision of internal audit reports on the effectiveness of internal controls to External Auditors in order to determine the levels of their substantive test.
Evaluation and review of risk management interventions in order to ensure their adequacy.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate
Full ACCA/CIMA/ZICA and/or Equivalent
Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
Computer Literate.
Certified Information System Audit will be added advantage
Minimum of Four (4) years post qualification experience in internal audit, public accounting or related business experience with some lead auditor experience.
Valid and clean Driving License.
