- Compute relevant tax in strict compliance with applicable tax laws on regulations
- filling of tax and fiscal requirements within defined statutory deadlines
- Assist DCP’s Tax remittances and provisioning to ensure appropriateness
- Implement the retention and preparation of tax records, tax returns, and tax documentation
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of relevant supports and proof of tax remittance
- Respond to ad-hoc inquires on tax related issues
- Participate in relevant negotiations with tax authorities
- Continually Identify Assess and Advise DCP’S Management of Tax Saving Opportunities
- Assist in the provision of tax efficient solutions to DCPs Projects and stakeholder activities
- stay up to date on tax related trends (e.g. changes in relevant tax laws), analyze their impact and provide recommendations to management on necessary steps. This includes NAPSA
- Sustain and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including local and international tax authorities, tax consultants etc
- Ensure DCP’s activities comply with local Tax and financial regulatory requirements
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics
- Full Grade Twelve school certificate
- Relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA among others
- Relevant, Recognized and Accredited Professional Accounting Qualification(s) is compulsory
- Minimum of three (3) years progressive and relevant work experience with atleast 2years in tax Accounting role
- Hands on experience in ERP system, preferably SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
