Job Title: Records and Information Analyst

This function is responsible for retrieving call records of clients as required by courts or relevant stakeholders, including government wings, partner agencies and regulatory bodies. The function is also responsible for document management.

Below are the Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a records registry for the Corporate Services Department to ensure fast, real-time retrieval of information in the Department;
  • Receive, register, open and classify documents that come in the Corporate Services Department and file them in the appropriate folders;
  • Vet all requests for call records, transactional reports, location reports and Know Your Client (KYC) requests to ensure they have all the supporting documentation before submitting them to the legal for approval.
  • Analyse call records to extract relevant information and provide insights as necessary;
  • Retrieve call records of clients in response to court orders or requests from relevant stakeholders;
  • Share the information extracted with the relevant stakeholders through the agreed modes of sharing the information;
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all call record, transactional, location, KYC requests and disclosures;
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements governing the retrieval and disclosure of call records;
  • Collaborate with internal departments, legal teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate the timely retrieval and disclosure of call records;
  • Attend before any court or government body to interpret call records, transactional reports, location report and/ or confirm KYC details;
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures and protocols related to call record retrieval and disclosure.
  • Attend to the timely preparation of periodic reports, transparency reports and any other reports as may be requested for business of the nature of the requests received from the various stakeholders;
  • Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards related to call record retention and disclosure;
  • Attend to document management;
  • Receive, register, open and classify documents that come in the Corporate Services Department and file them in the appropriate folders;
  • Attend to any other tasks that may be assigned related to call records and office administration;
  • Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
  • Diploma in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology or Library Studies. However, a degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage;
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the telecommunications industry or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and call record databases;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze large datasets;
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to call record retrieval and disclosure;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used for call record analysis and retrieval;
  • Excellent organizational skills.
