Automotive Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other automotive problems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and make necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle problems and recommended repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.

Requirements for Junior Mechanic:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Auto Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Requirements for Senior Mechanic:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Auto Mechanic.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Mastery in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex repairs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Salaries:

Senior mechanics net salary is between ZMW6,500 and ZMW7,500 while junior mechanics are to be paid between ZMW2,500 and ZMW3,500 based on experience.
