LOCATION: MULTI FACILITY ECONOMIC ZONE (MFEZ), LUSAKA
1. UNIT MANAGER
Reporting to the Beverage Factory Manager, this is a tactical role with responsibility for overseeing the
operations of 3 to 4 production lines in a world-class manufacturing plant producing non-alcoholic beverages.
This dynamic position requires a hands-on approach to manage, optimize, and maintain the manufacturing
processes efficiently while ensuring product quality, cost-effectiveness, and team development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct and coordinate the activities of 3-4 production lines, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Engage in Manufacturing Process Optimization through Process Analysis and Evaluation, Continuous
Improvement Initiatives, and implementing Performance Monitoring and Feedback Loops.
• Oversee Labeling and Branding in alignment with company standards and regulations.
• Advocate and implement Packaging Sustainability Practices.
• Perform Cost Control and Analysis, including Expense Monitoring and Tracking, Budget Adherence and
Variance Analysis, and Cost Reduction Initiatives.
• Develop and mentor subordinates, fostering a culture of Continuous Learning and Development.
• Promote Employee Engagement and Involvement while leading interdisciplinary teams and workshops,
ensuring clear communication, information sharing, and effective conflict resolution.
• Utilize Data-Driven Decision-Making practices through Data Collection and Analysis, implementing Metrics
and KPIs, and engaging in regular reporting and visualization decision-making practices.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Problem Identification and Definition, Cause Analysis and Investigation, and
Solution Development and Implementation.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC and statistical analysis.
• Engage in Kaizen initiatives, incorporating Gemba Walks and Observation and employing the PDCA Cycle.
• Oversee Process Optimization and Standardization, employing Continuous Monitoring and Improvement
practices and implementing Visual Management techniques for operational efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or any technical related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing process optimization, cost control, and team development.
• Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and cost analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across different organizational levels and functions.

2. PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS
Reporting to the Unit Manager, the role is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of a
production line during assigned shifts; ensuring that the line operates efficiently, safely and in compliance with quality standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the production line operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, efficiency standards.
• Monitor production KPIs and adjust workflows or resources to meet or exceed targets.
• Manage and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to the Unit Manager when necessary.
• Ensures that downtime management is tracked, and remedial action taken to avoid future downtime.
• Implement WCM and lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
• Lead, train, and motivate line staff to achieve operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous
improvement.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support plant-wide improvement initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or any technical qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing / FMCG
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of WCM and lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with manufacturing management software.
3. QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR
The role is responsible for ensuring that products and services are in line with the established standards set by
the company, maintaining strong overall quality control of products, adhering to reliability, performance, and
customer expectation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out Audits for both internal & external stake holders with a view to improve quality.
• Ensure all regulatory authority audits and certification are acquired and maintained.
• Help coordinate plant traceability system.
• HACCP Implementation- Process validation, training & risk assessment
• Handle Non-Conformance Reports raised during Regulatory/Certification Audits
• Conduct food safety training to new employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor OPRP/CCPs records and ensuring all relevant documents are duly filled.
• Help coordinate on site plant tours and draft up reports and presentations.
• Prepare and implement standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate the commissioning and pre-production trials of new products and equipments in conjunction
with R&D.
• Lead, train, and motivate subordinates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Food Science & Technology /Science laboratory Technology, Chemical Engineering, or any
science-related field
• Minimum experience of 7-10 Years
• Knowledge in GMP/GLP/HACCP and basic food safety standards
• Knowledge in industrial Safety, chemical testing, and standardization methods.
• Standard operating procedure implementation, housekeeping, and good manufacturing practices.
• Analytical, team player, problem-solving and report writing skills.
4. QUALITY CONTROL PROCESS TECHNICIAN
Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the role is responsible for setting up testing equipment and
performing tests on raw materials to ensure that they meet the quality standards to be used in our production
process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Following all the SOPs of Simple Syrup and Ready Syrup Preparation.
• Adhering to Housekeeping and GMP norms as per guidelines of Process Supervisor.
• Following cleaning and washing of tanks, floors as per requirement and schedule.
• Assisting in CIP to the line / Process supervisor before and after every batch
• Cleaning and washing of floor area of Syrup room and equipment exteriors.
• Assisting in taking and providing samples from various sampling points at different equipment at required
frequency.
• Assisting the microbiologist in taking samples
• Sugar calculation as per the batching sheet.
• Informing the Process Supervisor / QC Supervisor in case of requirement gaskets, spares, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Science/Lab Technology/Food Technology
• Computer literate, experience with manufacturing and safety systems.
• Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
• At least 2 years working experience in the FMCG industry.
• Reliable, trustworthy, self-disciplined, and hardworking.
• Ability to work with strict targets and timelines.
5. TRAINING SYSTEMS COORDINATORS
Reporting to the L& D Manager, the role is responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of training and development programs aimed at enhancing skills and competencies across the organization. This role requires development of training material and systems and processes to fast-track continuous improvement in the plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct needs analysis assessments to identify and prioritize training requirements across various
departments and functions within the business.
• Plan, organize, and execute training and development programs that enhance employees’ skills and
competencies, to upskill the companies’ employees to not only grow themselves but to improve company
standards and efficiencies.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employee engagement and
involvement in training activities on the shopfloor.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and conduct workshops that foster cross-functional collaboration
and knowledge sharing.
• Develop advanced learning material for the site. Scope out best practices, research and benchmark systems
and processes related to the industry and write documentation for training and development purposes:
• Utilize Six Sigma DMAIC methodology and Kaizen principles in training programs to instil a mindset of
continuous improvement among employees.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization, ensuring
alignment between training initiatives and business objectives.
• Development of Learning Material, SMPs and SOPs, OPLs, QFRs, End State Analysis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in designing and delivering training programs within a manufacturing or operational excellence
setting.
• High Analytical Ability and Detailed
• Certification in Six Sigma, Kaizen, or related continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and departments.
• Computer Literate (word, excel and PowerPoint)
6. IT TECHNICIAN
Reporting to IT Manager, the role involves installing new cable systems, troubleshooting current systems that
are causing problems, and repairing voice and data cables when necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Crimping cables to industry standards.
• Neat and organized cable management.
• Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.
• Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.
• Repair related poles and towers to resolve cable issues.
• Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers.
• Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices/ printers.
• Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from
attacks.
• Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated.
• Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality.
• Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
• Offer timely technical support and coach users how to utilize computers correctly.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) will be an advantage.
• At least 3 years working experience in an ICT support and systems implementations environment with
demonstrable duties and responsibilities.
• Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong system management skills
• Good communication and project management skills.
7. CCTV TECHNICIAN
Reporting to IT Manager, the role involves installing new cable systems, troubleshooting current systems that
are causing problems, and repairing voice and data cables when necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Terminating different forms of industry cabling including cat5e, cat6 and coaxial
• Understand Scope of Work layouts
• Work with other contractors to collaborate on the project.
• Give direction to other technicians.
• Able to terminate/program head end panels (Software House CCure9000)
• Capable of setting up/programming NVR’s (exacqvision, Genetec, and others)
• Comprehend integration of access/video and other areas security related
• Skill set to troubleshoot challenges as they arise.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to CCTV network video recorders (NVR) and digital video recorders
(DVR).
• Keep abreast of the latest CCTV technologies and troubleshooting methods.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, engineering, or any related field.
• Relevant certifications in IT or related field (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
• Camera Installation, Maintenance and CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Effective communication skills.
8. ENGINEERING STOREKEEPER
Reporting to the Engineering Store Manager, the role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations
of the engineering storeroom. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records of materials and supplies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inventory Management
• Stock control.
• Receive stocks from vendors/ Suppliers through procurement department, inspect and accept or reject
them depending on the quality and specifications given.
• Storage and organization
• Consolidate daily activities, monitor, and report on all issues within the stores to review, establish, and
advise on stock levels for timely replenishment of stock.
• Compile Reports on Shortages, Losses, and Obsolete or Expired Stock
• Record keeping.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Stores / Warehouse Management or relevant equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in storekeeping, inventory management or related field
• Familiarity with engineering materials, tools and equipment is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems and basic office software.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Physical fitness to lift and move heavy objects as required.
9. FORKLIFT OPERATORS
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials
and products within the warehouse and manufacturing areas of the Bigtree Beverages plant. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of materials, supporting production schedules, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency in line with World Class Manufacturing principles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Material Handling: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload
materials and products within the warehouse and production areas.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and operating procedures for forklift operation and material
handling. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards related to warehouse
operations and material handling.
• Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials and products
stored in the warehouse.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and material handling equipment to
ensure they are in safe and proper working condition.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Warehouse team, Production Planners, and Supply
Chain staff to coordinate material movements and storage. Communicate effectively with team members
and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
• Housekeeping & Organizing: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to facilitate efficient
operations and ensure safety.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Must be certified as competent FLT Driver via a certified body with a Valid forklift operator certification and
clean driving record.
• Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, preferably within the
beverage or related industries
• Physical fitness and good eyesight
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

11. GENERAL WORKERS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Operators in all production/maintenance areas
• Conduct daily cleaning and drying of floors, walls, and all relevant areas.
• Collection of materials spillage and leaks in the process area
• Ensure all waste is disposed off, properly and hygienically.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department and drains, always.
• Adherence to safety and quality standards as well as good housekeeping
• Understand, adhere to, and promote Good Manufacturing Practices
• Understand and follow production schedule or adjust as needed to avoid down-time on production floor.
• Any other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Technical Trade Certificate is an added advantage.
• 2-5 years’ relevant experience in Manufacturing Industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
