AECI Mining Explosives Plc wishes to recruit for the below listed position to be based in Mufulira. The successful applicant will be expected to have demonstrable competencies relevant to the job.

FINANCE MANAGER

Job Purpose

To support the Finance Director’s Office with preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Accounts. To perform Accounts Reconciliation and Sales Administration. Ensuring the Integrity of the General Ledger for the business in facilitating Reporting in accordance with set Corporate Deadlines. Guarantee development, preparation and maintenance of a financial reporting system and provision of reports. Provide critically appraised, relevant, timely and accurate Data to the Management Team and the AECI Group Finance Function. Uphold stewardship by developing satisfactory Internal Controls, Schedule and Carry out regular Audits to fulfil relevant Legal and Statutory requirements. Guarantee Optimal Management of Cash and Working Capital, Assist the relevant Sales/Business Manager in ensuring overdue debtors are in line with agreed terms. Ensure Adherence to statutory requirements, including Corporate and other relevant Taxes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
  • A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage Strong Financial Modelling skills
  • Sound knowledge of Accounting packages e.g. SAP
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience at Middle or Senior Management Level
  • Significant Analytical skills gained through broad experience and application
  • Knowledge of Marketing principles and Pricing strategy and a sound level of commercial acumen
  • In-depth knowledge of Local Tax laws, Regulatory, Statutory and Compliance framework
  • Member of ZICA
